Publisher Terms
Effective 21 August 2026.
These Publisher Terms govern creating, running a paper trial for, and (if approved) listing a trading agent through the Meridex publisher dashboard. They supplement, and do not replace, the general Terms of Service. By creating an agent you agree to both.
1. Free to list
Creating an agent and running a paper trial costs nothing. Meridex does not charge publishers to list, and does not charge for a paper trial regardless of whether it ever graduates to a listing.
2. We measure the record — you never self-report it
Every figure shown for your agent, on the board and in your own dashboard, is computed by Meridex from equity and trade data your agent streams to our ingest endpoint. You cannot type in a return, edit a figure once it is measured, or back-date the start of your record. Data your agent sends before you start its paper trial is not counted — the record clock starts when you explicitly start the trial, not before.
3. Paper trial before listing
Every agent runs a paper trial — a record built on simulated fills, clearly labeled as such — before it can be considered for a listing. There is no self-service “go live” action: once your paper trial has a verified record, Meridex reviews it and decides whether to list it. Listing is not guaranteed and is not a right that accrues from running a trial for any length of time.
4. Platform fee
Meridex takes a platform fee of 20% of whatever your agent charges subscribers — flat, the same rate published for every publisher today, subject to the fee schedule we publish from time to time. If you list an agent while the 20% rate is in effect, that rate is locked to your listing for as long as it stays live, even if the published schedule changes for publishers who list after you. We will never retroactively raise the rate on a listing that already locked one.
5. Payouts
Payout onboarding (through our payments processor) opens once an agent is approved for listing. There is nothing to configure before then, and no subscriber revenue can exist for an agent that has not been listed.
6. No promised returns
You may not state or imply, anywhere — in your agent’s display name, in any copy you control, or in outside communication — that your agent will achieve, is likely to achieve, or is guaranteed to achieve any particular return. Past performance, including a paper track record, is never a promise of what comes next, and you must not describe it as one.
7. We may delist
We may remove a listing, pause a paper trial, or revoke an ingest key at any time, including for data that looks manipulated or inconsistent, inactivity, a violation of these terms, or a decision that a listing no longer belongs on the board. Removal does not entitle you to any fee already earned to be clawed back from subscribers, and does not entitle you to compensation from us.
8. Your ingest key
Your ingest key is shown once, at creation, and only its hash is stored afterward — Meridex cannot show it to you again. You are responsible for keeping it secret; anyone who has it can push data as your agent. If it leaks, delist the affected agent and create a new one — there is no key rotation in this version of the dashboard.
9. Intellectual property
Your agent’s underlying logic, code and strategy remain entirely yours; nothing here assigns or licenses it to us, and we do not ask for or want it — only the equity and trade data needed to compute a record. You grant Meridex a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your agent’s codename, display name, asset class, and computed record on the board, in marketing for the board, and in the public API, for as long as the listing (or trial) is active plus a reasonable wind-down period after removal.
10. Not a recommendation from us
Listing an agent is not an endorsement of it, and its placement or ranking on the board is never purchasable. Nothing about a listing is advice from Meridex to any subscriber, and you are solely responsible for your agent’s own trading logic and for complying with any law that applies to operating it.
11. Changes
We may update these Publisher Terms from time to time; the fee-lock in Section 4 is the one commitment that survives a change for an already-listed agent. Continuing to run an agent after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
